Well got a guy coming to look at my hardtop. I bought the hardtop off craigs before I even bought the Jeep.. LOL But the soft top has really grown on me. It is way quieter then the older models. Its been cold since I got the Jeep and havent even noticed it. I had soft and hard on my YJ and kinda regretted switching over. Also I like the looks of the soft top better then the hard. JMO And with the price he is offering (a decent size profit from what i paid) it will pay for my 35's with change to spare. Also the hardtop is off an 07 and would hate it if it was one of the leakers :mr-t: Need everyones opinions PLEASE

Where's your location?

If its not prone to HEAVY snow, I would SELL while you still have a buyer!

I only have the soft top, and would be way to lazy to change it out for a hard top for any reason! LOL

Just sold mine. Had planned to use it only in the winter. Hasn't been on in a year and a half. I was in the snow and it was 28 outside and didn't even notice with the soft top. I think it's the heater more than the top.
Anyway,I like the idea of only one top, especially one that is easier to store in the summer, and I can always pick one up cheap a few years down the road. JM2 ($/100)

Sold mine for $1700. I hate the freedom top anyways. I will buy a wild boar before next winter though.
 wish i could pull that much out of mine. I priced it just a bit above what I see them going for on the boards......$1300

I have a hard top and it is nice to drive around in SUV style comfort now and then. However, I only use it because I have it, if I didn't have it I would not miss it. Sell it if you are happy with the soft top.

it really depends on how you use your Jeep. if you don't need the extra security or weather protection - sell it. if you do, don't sell it.

My case exactly. I would love the ease of a soft top BUT I live next to a liquor store and recycle yard in California. While I do understand that if someone wants in your vehicle, they will get in, I also know the soft tops are a little more inviting to would-be thieves. When I move, if its in a good area, I will probably try to pick up a softie, but for now, I kinda need the added security.

I find it funny that 90% of the people posting to sell it live in warm climates.

Need to know where the OP lives to really say "yay" or "nay"

Snow, cold and road grime eat away at a soft top quickly! Can't scrape ice and muck off the windows without scratching them all up, no rear wiper, No easy (non messy) acces through the tail gate when covered in road muck during snow storm. No place to mount ski racks.

I have always liked the hard top in winter, but we do lots of snow sports here. It also keeps my soft top nice 2-4 times longer since it gets stored 6 months a year and hardly ever sees the snow.
