The internals are the same as any other Dana 30 or 44 axle.
There are some differences with the internals, ie: gears, bearings, diffs, etc, with the 44's

The new 44's are not the same as previous ones.

JK Rubicon 44 Front Pinion
Inner bearing surface = 1.630"
Outer bearing surface = 1.375"

TJ Rubicon 44 Front Pinion
Inner bearing surface = 1.380
Outer bearing surface = 1.185"

JK Rubicon 44 Rear Pinion
Inner bearing surface = 1.625"
Outer bearing surface = 1.310"

TJ Rubicon 44 Rear Pinion
Inner bearing surface = 1.375
Outer bearing surface = 1.125"

JK Rubicon 44 Rear Axle Shafts
32 spline

TJ Rubicon 44 Rear Axle Shafts
30 Spline

JK Rubicon 44 Front Axle Shafts
30/32 spline

TJ Rubicon 44 Rear Front Shafts
30/30 Spline

The JK Rubicon front shafts are very similar in size to the TJ Rubicon front shafts, but the rear shafts of the JK are a little bigger.

Don't try using a TJ bearing kit or TJ shafts or TJ gears or a TJ locker on a JK 44, it will not fit. That's not to say that some aftermarket parts for the TJ 44's won't work on a JK, if you get the spline count right, right bearings etc, and an installer that knows what he's doing.
