We plan to run Pine Mountain and Garcia Ridge, near San Luis Obispo, CA. Pine Mountain shows as a difficult (medium grade) type trail, Garcia Ridge is an intermediate type trail. This is the first time for me on these trails so I am uncertain on what we will come across. We mostly are just going to explore the area and get together with good company for a few beers around the fire.
There are three of us going so far, 2 JK’s (40’s, 37’s) and 1 TJ (35’s). Should be fun. We are bringing plenty of firewood to keep it warm. Other than that we are camping under the stars.
We are leaving from Ontario Friday morning, expected to be there no later than 3PM. Details are below:
1. Camp at LaPanza Friday 1/30/09
a. 35°21'9.01"N
b. 120°15'57.48"W
2. Run Pine Mountain 1/31/09 at 0800
3. Drive to Garcia Ridge around 1200
4. Run Garcia Ridge around 1300
5. Camp at Hi Mountain around 1500
a. 35°15'39.14"N
b. 120°24'48.80"W
6. Break camp 2/1/09 at 0800 for home. This should get us home prior to the superbowl.
