Needed a vehicle for the Congo so I got a 2010 Rubicon. Has an OME lift, geometry brackets, AEV snorkel, and wheels. The OME stuff was rusted when I got it so I swapped it out (they were nice enough to send out new stuff). I did ceramic lizard skin on the hard top to deal with the heat.

I’ll post some pictures when I get some outside of the city.

What is off roading like in the Congo? Are things open or are there restrictions on where you can go?

No restrictions on anything really. If you drive a few miles outside of the city there’s nothing for miles. Down side is you’re on your own for help. And not a good place to break a Jeep.

I wouldn’t say normal but it seems to be pretty common during the rainy season. It’s happened several times already.

It is normally very hot here, most of the year with very little rain. So what rain we do receive, we are very thankful for.
