Islanders have the Rubi Red shocks ... springs are springs .. they are same/different on all models ... For some crazy reason Mountain Edition gets Black X shocks ... dumb.

Springs are different as well.
No such thing as Rubi vs. Non-Rubi springs ...

Different springs for different options ... 4-door gets heavier duty springs than 2-door. Hard top equipped JK's get heavier duty springs than soft top.

A 4-door Hardtop JK with Tow Package will have the most Heavy duty springs.

A 2-door with soft top and no tow package will have lightest duty.

Being a Rubicon does not matter ... what matters is doors and options.

This has been discussed hundreds of times.

when you say heavier duty you are only talking about compression rates correct?

my hard top full door tow package springs are the heaviest duty, is that what you are saying?

what sparked this was the several comments that rubicon springs will give a non rubicon a .5-1" lift. searched for about 30 min and wasnt able to find a discussion or final say

Not necessarily true, my 4 dr X hard top tow package had 14/15 rated springs and I put on some " rubi" springs rated 17/18 (fronts BTW) and gained nearly 3/4 inch, cured the rake. You are right it had been discussed a hundred times, doors and options aren't everything, look at the spring rates/ tags.
