Powertank makes some different mounting options for their 5 gal tank incl an option to mount to roll cage. I can try and find part # and specifics if you are interested. Do not have their web address handy, but 4wheel Drive Hardware carries all Powertank accessories.

Let me know if I can help.
I went cheap and use two ratchet straps to mount my 10lb tank to the roll bar.
trying not to be ghetto as hell here.

something like that is what i want

But what is the actual diameter of the Rear 45* roll bar on the JKs?
the 5gallon tank i have fits PERFECT there, even with a hardtop on and takes up NO cargo space
The diameter of the actual bar is 2 2/8". With the wraparound plastic (covered with the material it is approx 3 3/8".
thank you!

ill let you guys know what i find, if i can find something then everyone iwll have a super easy way to mount a 5 gallon tank that will take up NO rool at all, and fit with hard or soft top on.

I don't mean to get technical with ya but 2 2/8"? As in 2 1/4"? Or is that a typo?
