The sahara steps will bolt right on in place of the rails, but the do not provide any protection from damage on the trail...
You can buy some tubing kits from several vendors and weld then onto the rubicon rails that will give you something to step on and protect your rockers.
BTW you accidentaly posted this three times. Might want to delete a couple of other threads and go introduce yourself in the welcome room so I can say hi
Pretty sure if you check the wanted section here someone will show up for trade. Seems like most people want to go the other way and put the rails on. You "may" even go check with a dealership. They like to dress up their X's and Saharas and may do a swap or trade + cash if the rails are in like new condition.
yeah my wifes bustin chops about putting steps on.since i dont off road it frequently i could live with it.like my women topless but i don't know about dirty.
We don't wheel much or hard. We've been happy with the production (Sahara) steps. I bought them new so my 5'1" mother-in-law could get in easier. Back then they were a little harder to come by used than they probably are now.
But if you plan on doing any serious wheeling, like SDMF said, they are not made to handle impact or sliding on rocks. I've seen broken ones first hand. The manual says you should remove them for offroad driving.
funny my mother in law is 5'1" to.but kidding aside i really dont know of many trails in the area i live in.i was originally going to buy a sahara but the deal i got on my rubicon was not to be passed up.
