This was an event last week in Western CO put on by GMJC. Based out of Grand Junction we went up to Rangely to the offroad park there, down to montrose, and around Grand Junction.

There were three groups. Buggies, full body rigs with 40 or greater, and full body less than 40 inch tires. These buggy people are crazy.

Here are a few pics:
this is the start of "megasaurus" up at Rangely.

This is Rex coming up over the last ledge on megasaurus.

This is Cha Ching at Rangely.

Billings Canyon in Grand Junction.

Btw. That is the flop point on Rex. Bob leaned in and pushed it back.

Dang! Never seen so many wheels up rigs on one run before. Cool shots.

Great pics and some very cool shots.

Die Trying looks awesome. I've never run it but as they say...someday. Are there lines around some of the obstacles? I'm wondering how it would be for a locked JKU on 37"s, armored, etc. I assume winches are necessary?

Thx

Thx. I think that setup would work. The most difficult spot isn't because of boulders or incline, just that it is really a tight turn through a slot and body damage can occur. The JKU is really big to get through there. Here is a pic of Rex in that spot.

Rex has a four inch lift on 43" rubber, and could get on top of the rocks. Still he got scratched.

Another trail near die trying is topless. I didnt do it but rob from nemesis did in his JKU (we broke into groups by tire size and style of rig) I think he runs 37"s. Sounded like a good trail.

A good winch, yes. Easy to get high centered, or break something. The trail is so narrow the only way to get out is up and out. You'd be hard pressed to go back down the trail. Also make sure you are with someone with a capable rig.

Fun place. I'm looking forward to getting back there.

Looks like a blast! If fuel prices weren't so hi, spent 1600 to moab & back this spring, I'd be out there this summer again!
