Robb's 08' JKU Rubi Build(AKA Sarge)

New to the form but not new to the Jeep world. Owned a TJ for 8 years and built that up. Had to break down and buy a JKU. Have 2 kids that I want to take wheelin. So found a 08 JKU Rubi that is extremely clean and only 23,500 miles on it. Did a ton of research on lifts and long arm kits. Came down to Poly and Teraflex. Ended up going with the Teraflex do to cost of Poly. Did the 6" elite long arm from teraflex. Also did the matching Fox racing resi shocks. Front inner axle tubes and inner c braces. Also installed the spin tech locking hub conversion and up graded to all new chromoly axle shafts front and rear. Added 37 13.50 17 Toyos with race line monster bead locks.
Jeep rides better than and handles like a car. Very pleased with it do far.
Future add ons will be custom built sliders w/ PSC rocker armor, customer bumpers, on board air, gears, and 1 tons.
Enjoy!

Before any mods. The way I bought it

The start of the Madness

Lmao!!!! Yes I have wheeled it some in the snow and flexed it out some. First time I have actually wheeled it in the snow since I have owned it. It is a freaking beast in the snow. It was unstoppable. Had snow over the hood and it just kept pushing through it. The traction is insane with the new rear setup. I still have a couple things I am working out on it but that will come later. I have taken off the 8" ram and went to a 10" ram to get more steering and I am having a custom pitman arm made out of 4130 to get even more steering. Right now I have 40 degrees of steering. Once I upgrade myaxle shafts to 1550 axle shafts I will have be able to adjust the steering stops some so it will turn close to 50 degrees of steering. I do have some pics of the steering I have now and new pitman arm I am having built. I sent it out for heat treat so when I get it back I will post pics of the new setup. It drives like a sports car. Super stable at high speed--took It up to 90mph on the freeway and it corners even better then before. It does take a little getting used to the additional width though. It is freaking wide. Look for some updates soon. I am having to put the coil overs on hold for now. Had some pretty big changes in life come up but it is all good changes. Just have to put my time into some other things for now. Oh and also yes I did build another a jeep. Lmao. Well actually installed some UD60's in my buddy's jeep and beefed them up even more then what they were.

Well its been over a year since I posted anything. I took a break from the Jeep world do to some life events. I am back at it again!! I still have the Jeep. I Just took the 40's off and put on some 41.5x13.50R17 Pitbull Rockers. I also just ordered a Ripp Black Ops Supercharger. It will be here in the next week or 2 since they are built to order. I got the tires all install so now I just need it to snow so I can go do some snow wheeling before its time to go play in the rocks.

New Tires showed earlier then expected. The dot number on them shows them a week old!! Love knowing its a USA made tire as well.

Little shot next to my 40's

All Installed!! I forgot how many damn bolts there was to torque LOL

Checking clearance. I had to stop do to front tires hitting front fender at door side and when full lock so got some trimming to do on front. otherwise rear clears fine.

It’s nice to be back and it’s nice to be settled into the new house. Now I just need to get my garage all dialed and start som more projects.

So I have been needing some power for my Jeep. It’s a turd at freeway speeds and even worse when hitting hills. I hope it’s worth the hype cause I pulled the trigger and this showed up today. 😳
A RIPP Supercharger system Black Ops edition. It comes with a little my kit 11psi vs 7-8psi all blacked out parts. It uses the Vortech supercharger V3 and all kinds of goodies. I will be installing it in a couple weeks. FW Motorsports is gonna do some dyno pulls for me to see before and after results. I will be surprised if I am putting over 100hp to the ground and 120tq to the ground. Here are some pics. Enjoy!

I am sure it will wake it up. Hopefully it will yield the results you are hoping for. I did a Hemi swap a little over a couple years ago. Could not be happier with the fact my rig will move now.
From what I hear when you get around that amount of PSI you need head studs. ARP is making them these days. I would highly suggest it. When I had my prodigy turbo kit on my 3.8 it was crazy how much it woke that little turd engine up. Are you manual or auto trans?
I will be head studding it a little down the road. When I do that I will be also porting and polishing the heads.
