Been trying to troubleshoot my SC that was installed by a shop and noticed today that there is a lot of play in the housing, is this normal or do I have a problem?

You have a problem. On mine, that bonnet is a tight fit even before you clamp it down. You do have a clamp on there don't ya?

I'd be taking that thing off there to see what is wrong and make sure nothing falls into the supercharger....

Agreed with ^^^. It should take some effort to get that part to move. I hate to say this but....remove it and recheck any and all bolts. I know it is HEAVY, but worth the trouble to fix it before something breaks.

There is a T-Bolt clamp holding that on... its either not there or loose...
