OK, I realize this isn't for everyone, but I had some serious rear vision issues after mounting the AEV spare fuel tank and I'm a gadget junkie. I ended up mounting bumper backup sensors along with a rear view camera to see behind my Jeep while in reverse. The kit I used was an inexpensive unit from Koolertron (www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0043DLXWE/) and paired it with my previously installed Sony Explode backup camera and Kenwood DVD/Nav HU. The system gives audio (which can be turned off separately) and video feedback (overlaid on the HU screen) and is accurate within inches (10cm). It's useful off road when in tight quarters, and in the city for parking. I'm happy to answer questions about install details if anyone decides to go the same route.

That integration is pretty cool. If I didn't enjoy backing over things so much I'd consider doing that too! ;)
