My stock front locker is not working. It clicks, just won't engage.

I already have welded in sleeves (previous owner did, so I don't know which ones). They have spot welds on bottom of axle tubes.

So I don't think I can fit the ected MAX with the 35 spline, and I really don't want so spend the coin on new shafts anyway.

I run 37" BFG MTR's, but live in Indiana and rarely play on the rocks. Plus, one of the things I like about the ected is that it might slip a tad under severe torque and traction situations, which sounds a lot better than a broken ______.

Anybody have any experience on these? Install? Reliability?

I live an hour from the auburn factory, so I am ok with the D-rex clutch swap plan they have.

I didn't. The other thread was can I use an ected MAX. Which, I cannot with my sleeves. So, here is the locker I am wanting info on.

Yes but you asked about that locker in your other thread too. Any way like I said on the other thread look for another brand of locker. I didn't do enough research when I bought those lockers and it was the worst investment I ever made. Just type in to goggle auburn Ected reviews and you will find a lot of negative reviews on the locker. I did that after I my problems with the lockers started and was very unhappy with what I found. I wasn't the only person that was having these problems.

Get a pro rock 44 with the arb and 35 spline rcv shafts.

I think the only locker I've not heard reliability complaints about is the Detroit.

I have an ectd in the front axle of my F350 and have not had an issue with it, but I'm not rock crawlin the one ton either. I put it in for traction in snow and sand along with a Pro Series LS in the back. It has not adversly affected towing and the locker in front has worked great for times when the front absolutely has to pull to get you out.

That being said, I wasn't impressed with the 4WP shop at all. The front axle application hadn't been out long enough for the bracket for the actuator to be well engineered. (tight)

With an ARB you'll have compressor things that can go wrong and will have air leaks. I think the cable actuator idea sounds reliable but I've not tried one. Selectables won't ever be as reliable as the Detroit but they are way more friendly being selectable.
