From an email I received this morning, it appears Jeep is having problems with their factory tow bar system. (Jeep being pulled)

I ordered #82209758 tow bar assembly, for my 2008 JK “X” 2-door Jeep, and got an email back stating that tow bar assembly was recalled due to problems.

Are any of you towing your Jeep behind a motorhome, and if so what system are you using?

I used the Mopar tow bar for a year and a half without any problems. But I replaced the dumb pin they used to connect the tow bar to the brackets with a grade 8 bolt and nut...

But I am now using my Roadmaster Eagle tow bar (12 years old) with the new Roadmaster brackets that work with the Mopar rock bumper. This tow bars and the brackets with the removable arms are much easier than the Mopar tow bar.

Roadmaster also makes brackets for the stock bumper. Blue Ox also has brackets for the JK.
