I understand these are jeeps but I like to know when a cop is near. With that being said; does anyone know which wires on the rear view mirror are ignition power and ground? Wondering because in my ram I had my radar detector wired to my mirror and would like to do the same thing with my jeep. It's a 2014 jku sahara if that makes any difference. Thanks.

Just curious, why hardwire to the mirrors? I'd imagine you could use the wires running to the ign/on power port with similar result.

Because I have a mirror mount for my radar detector so there are no wires hanging and nothing stuck to the window to fall off.

Asking the same question

I have the Mirror Tap with Mirror Mount and I am looking for the details of the plug for the interior rear view. JKU 2014

Pin 8, Black with white tracer is ground...
Pin 13 Pink with yellow tracer is fused ignition output
This is correct. Ground from tap to black/white, Power from tap to pink/yellow.

I got the invisicord.

Instructions: Open tab on back of mirror. Towards passenger side is release for plug, squeeze and remove. Press mini blade into matching black on black, and mini balde (yellow for invisicord or red on mirrortap) into acc pink/yellow.

Yup, that's it. I use heavy duty velcro instead of the blendmount so I can place the radar detector over the mirror. More hidden, less distraction when I'm driving.
