So the weather has been nice enough lately to take the doors off of the JK. I immediately noticed that the seat belts flaped all over the place and the sound became increasing annoying. First thing that came to mind was to use a military blousing strap to hold the belt to the roll bar. Worked like a champ! You can get them here for under 5 bucks http://www.armysurplusworld.com/product.asp?productID=18597 or if you have a military buddy, they are cheaper on base. Quick easy fix, you just have to feed the seat belt back through. I am sure over time the straps will stretch out enough to still hold the seat belt but allow it to feed back on its own.

I went to Harbor Freight on my lunch hour after reading this post and purchased a package of four, seven inch bungee type straps with the ball on the end. Install them around the roll cage and seat belt. No more flap, flap, flap flap. Works great. Thanks for the tip.

I use a seat belt shoulder pad on the seat belt between where it comes out of the roller and the top connector. It has stopped all the flapping. It does not hinder the belt operation. Picked it up a wally world... :bounce:
