I have another problem that needs some help. Sorry for the long post.

I installed the SC on my jeep but noticed the speedo/odometer were not working and the engine light was on. I returned to stock and it was still like that.

I installed the SC on my wife's jeep and it all worked fine.

SC tech support said "the SC just amplified an exsisting vehicle problem" so I took it to the dealership. They changed out a speedo senser, ABS module, and reflashed it. Got it back 4 days later with a working speedo/odo and no engine light.

I return my wife's jeep to stock. *I didn't drive it around but it all looked good.

I installed it on my jeep and it worked this time. I did the 87 octane and the tire size. I haven't done the TPMS yet.

I have my wife complaining that her speedo isn't working and she has the check engine light also.

I can't believe that she has the exact problem that my jeep had. Is this a SC flashpaq problem? Will the disconnecting battery idea work? I don't want to take hers into the dealer and say oh yea I was here last week, but now my wife has the same problem. I will call SC tomorrow but was hoping for some idea before that.

Well sorry to hear all the trouble guys. But I just installed and tried the 91 setting. Worked with no problem but for some reason my tires made a really loud chirp from first to second. Think I should try the battery fix to fix it or just take the lead out of my boot.:beer:

Hope you guys get it figured out for when I have problems.

When I used the SC for the first time the speedo would not work and the engine light came on. I set it back to stock and tried again, with same result. I had to do it a third time before I got it working properly. What I did notice is that the steps to set the programing are very finicky. If you don't do it just right it seems to bring on some issues.

OK glad to hear that I am not the only one with this exact issue. I will talk to SC tomorrow and mention that. I am hesitant to return my jeep to stock and then try and reinstall on the 2nd jeep, then turn around and uninstall it again to put it back on my jeep. Thats a lot of places for something to go wrong if it is that finicky.

I did unplug the battery and it did clear the engine light but I am willing to guess it will come back on after a few miles. Speedo is still dead.

It looks like just re-installing fixed it.

I returned my jeep to stock and verified speedo and everything was ok. Then installed on my wife's jeep and verified speedo working. Then returned hers to stock and now she doesn't have the speedo/engine light problem anymore. I will install it back on mine next.

Talked to SC and the guy said he never heard of the speedometer not working afterwards.
