Is 23332215 the former part number for this fan? I ask because Ebay has 10 of these available for $328.92 w/free shipping, which beats the best price I can find for the 84100128.
Pentastar fans with Motech LS swaps
Can anyone tell me why the pentastar fans are an "upgrade" for the LS swaps? Also, why is the pentastar fan $700 from Motech when the fan is ~$410 elsewhere? I need to upgrade the radiator and fan, but it seems the markup is a bit ridiculous. Are there other options?

So glad I did this! Because now I have to pull my radiator out and either have it repaired or send it back for warranty since it leaks. :frown2:That's awesome! John is a great guy to talk to and hooked me up with the Pentastar fan plug and re-settable relay system that he uses on his builds.

What size breaker do you suggest?The Pentstar and Camaro SS fans can draw 70 amps so the leads go directly to the battery with a fusible link, we run 8 gauge cables.

07s are a bit tricky. It all depends on the Version number of your TIPM. Early 07s have a issue with the PWM setting options.Question can a stock 07 PCM be programmed to run a pentastar fan?
The PCM outputs the message for what fan speed is requested. The TIPM has the option codes stored in it for either Drop Resistor (07-11) or PWM (12+).
The TIPM will output what its told to from the PCM based on the option codes that are programed into it.
We have a few work arounds for the 07 but the easiest thing to do is run our new PWM fan controller.
We are about to release a PWM fan controller that is CANbus based and eliminates the need to flash the PCM or TIPM. I will start a new thread for discussion.

On an early JK when you purchase the PWM fan upgrade it includes a new Mopar fan module(or SS) and a HD harness that we build. The Pentstar and Camaro SS fans can draw 70 amps so the leads go directly to the battery with a fusible link, we run 8 gauge cables. Then we program your ECM to drive the fan and there are several options here.
The advantage to the Pentstar fan is it drops right in with no mods and runs our standard coolant bottle mount. The SS fan requires a little modding but not much, if you purchase our HD radiator we will fit it for you. Both the Pentstar and the Camaro SS fans run about 19" blades(vs 17" on a 3.8 JK) with an outrunner ESC motor design meaning they can pull a lot more air. I prefer the SS fan, it's a little quieter and may be a little more powerful.
