I decided to install an overhead map light which is mounted to the bottom of my cb and wired through the cb housing.

im not sure how i feel about the switch yet but i figured i can add more next to it when the time comes

It looks lonely down there- all by itself. Seriously, if it's not in the way and you feel it's easily accessible for the application, then why not. I guess it doesn't draw enough to wire in a relay (?)

The light, mounted to the bottom of ( and routed through) the cb is a nice idea. Looks great.

nah the led doesnt need a relay, i am planning on relocating the switch for my KCs on the windshield there and adding a switch when i put trail lights in

I just got a 90 degree antenna connector for the back of the cb to get it closer to the window and through bolted it to the plastic just below the footmans loop on the windshield. the antenna bracket i used is from walcott cb where i buy all my cb stuff http://www.walcottcb.com/jkcbm-jeep-wrangler-2007-antenna-mount-p-1104.html

also, you should def put the map light in the cb if your gonna be opening up for wiring anyways. the light was bought from innovative lighting.
