2008 JK Wrangler with 3.8L.-- Has anyone replace the oil pressure relief valve on this engine ? The Jeep service manual shows putting the valve plunger in the timing cover first then installing the spring. The instructions which came with the new Melling repair kit shows installing the spring then the plunger. I was not present when the original was removed. We just assumed since we had the Jeep manual we were good to go. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

Did you ever solve this issue ? Having same concerns on my rebuilt 08 3.8K. I finished rebuild and now have no oil pressure so I wondering if it's the valve orientation.
