Manley ORV, they are start up company in the off road trailer side of things. Josh the owner had some scratch and dent items on ebay. I missed that sale so I called him and he had a few more items. 200 for the frame 350 for the tub and 95 for the fenders. Hell I paid more for shipping than I paid for the tub.
Definitely, It'll probably take a week or so to get it. Then I have to take the frame out to Wesco trailers. They are going to build me a custom axle set up. Just got to figure out Wheels and tires so we can get her started. If you're interested let me know and I'll get you in touch. I got tired of dicking around with people that wanted 500-1000 dollars for a rusty m100 or m416. This tub is the same as the m416 with the tailgate. Should be a cool build.
The trailer is 41 inches wide outside measurement. I'm using fenders that measure 12 inches wide. I'm. Thinking 55 1/2 hub face to fac. I'm not sure what size tire I'm gonna run yet or rim. I'm gonna let the guy who's bldg the axle for me help determine what will work for my set up.
hey Webster, what track width are you going with for your trailer and those tires?
I'm thinking 66" track width. But not sure if I will have enough clearance for 315/70r17s. I haven't had a chance to flip the trailer and mock everything up. for a 4x8 trailer with a steel deck, doing it in the driveway by myself ain't easy.
Normally for this trailer set up they use an axle which measures 55 1/2 inches hub face to face. I've seen 35's on this trailer. The axle is going to be built taking into account the wheel backspacing and I'm going with 5x4.5 for hubs since this is an industry standard for trailer hubs. (I'm thinking readily available parts.) I should be good to go but will see. Everything should be delivered to the depot tomorrow for pick up and I'll have the frame in the shop Monday so we can get started on the axle.
sweet! I can't wait to see how your build progresses. I'll probably steal some of your ideas :koolaid:
I'm looking at a 3500 lb axle kit with 5x5" hubs. In a real tight pinch where I get a 2nd flat before repairing/replacing my spare :cwm13: I figure doesn't hurt to be able to pull a tire from the trailer. I know it's not likely but Murphy seems to follow my around everywhere I go :thefinger:
Let's talk water proof bags.
This year it came time to retire our Rage Powersports waterproof rolling duffle bags. After 8 years of use supporting a family of 4 they finally gave up and said no more. From the looks of it, they no longer make water proof bags which is unfortunate as they were...
Got a new bike for Christmas and couldn’t find any good rack options for the Jeep that weren’t super expensive and/or require removing the rack to get the Jeep in the garage. So I decided to build one. Total cost was around $60. Most of the rack was made from scrap metal I had laying around...
My nephew Seth(18 yrs old) bought a bow this summer thinking he was going to be the Great White Hunter this fall during deer season.
Last week he went out at 4:00 in the afternoon and sat for about 45 min when he shot this 11point buck from 15yards away.
It was only his 3rd time out.
