Hello all, a while ago I replaced my belt buckle for the drivers seat, now, when I am unbuckled the light is off, when I am buckled in, the light goes on, I am about to go for a safety check so I really need to figure this one out soon, I have no idea where to start with this one
Please help

My wife's Sahara had that. Replacing the buckle didn't fix it.

On her Jeep it will go on and off intermittently. Turns out it is the clock spring in the steering wheel.

For anybody else experiencing the clock spring issue, there is a recall with no mileage limitation I believe. Dealer will replace it free of charge which is nice since it is $300-$400. Here is a link.
