I just got a black 08 2 door and the first thing i wanta do is put new wheels and tires on it. However, according to my parents "You cant put a lift on it because it will roll easier" (when I leave for college the first thing ill do is put a lift on it)so I am wondering what is a good size of rims and tires for my jeep without a lift but eventually will be getting a lift? I am very new to all of this so any information will be helpful Thanks!

Getting wheels first isnt a bad idea as many lifts will cause tire contact with the rear control arms.

Welcome to the forum!!! I wouldn't buy anything larger than a 17. Tire prices go up a lot at 18+
