... Anything look different between these two pictures? Modified it with a beach ball sized boulder in a running creek, slick rocks do damage.

Before anyone asks why I will bother trying to straighten it out, the clearance for the bushing and arm has been reduced by at least 4mm on that side and the bushing collar is nearly touching now.

Anyways, I get the feeling that a torch, metal working tools (ball peen, small body anvils, and some big fucking channel locks), and some patience will be the only correction for this. I just can't believe I am the only guy to smash this bracket? If i'm not, is there an easier was to get this thing back into shape? Any experience would be helpful before I drop that arm and start going ape shit with flames and heavy metal objects! :suicide:

I hit, bent, or gouged quite a few pieces under it. (Tank skid took a unmerciful beating) This just happens to be the only thing I care about since it could cause binding on that arm bushing and cause premature failure.

A big hammer and a prybar should do the trick. It's scary how easy those stock brackets will move.....

The only reason I care is because of the fat whore bushings and collars they use for the factory arms. If I was rocking Johnny joints or heims like you I'd stare at it sideways, laugh, beat off, and then go back to looking at guns and Internet porn... ( not sure which order ) Maybe I should just play stupid and let it fail so I can get a long arm kit. Nah, fuck, my Wife knows I pull shit like that, she'd make my groin area look like my gas tank skid trying to spend that kind of money and then I'd end up on here looking for a used set of factory LCA's! LOL!

That isnt too bad looking, you sure its binding. Imo and from the picture I would leave it alone. Heating and bending is only going to soften the metal. A few vendors make cheap weld on replacements.

Hard to see from the picture, but when that outer lip folded, it distorted the bolt through face and pushed the lower portion firmly into the bushing. The face and bushing collar are pretty close to kissing. Could be a problem, may not be, just have to either roll the dice or try to warm it up and nudge it over. Wasn't going to go cherry red, I know that changes steel properties. But warming up the metal is better than trying to work it cold. May just be able to tap the face over a couple of millimeters and ensure that everything is good.

I wouldn't even have posted up if I had worked that bracket like JK Vicks, they way he bent his actually push the bolt center out a bit. I hit just the right spot to retract the bolt center, looking at the pictures again you can see what I'm refering to...
