I have a jku 2014 and am installing some take off 18/59 springs and rubicon shocks. While there I figured I would add a 1.5 -2 inch leveling kit. Do I need to add shock extensions or will the rubicon shocks be okay.
Thanks for your help

I ran my stock rubicon shocks with 2" front and 1" rear coil spacers for a few years without extensions and had zero issues

The stock shocks will be OK but not ideal with 2" of lift. If your extending the bump stops for tire clearance, it would be a good idea to add shock extensions or a shock to better match the new collapsed length.

If your not extending the bump stops, you don't have room to run shock extensions or longer collapsed length shocks than stock. If you do, you may find yourself using the shocks as your bump stops (not good on the shocks).

You can run about a 15" collapsed length shock with stock bump stops. Stock shocks only have about 8" of travel. Running aftermarket shocks can get you into a 10"+- stroke shock.
