Wow ..it's been a year since I bought my First Jeep Wrangler. So far it's been the most fun I can have without getting arrested....
But I took it in for an oil change and found out I developed a coolant leak at the lower intake manifold. I took it to the local dealer here and it's gonna cost 500.00 to fix it. Luckily it's gonna be covered under the after market warranty I bought. The service guy asked me if I was planning to keep the Jeep and I said yup. He then told me I should get a cooling system flush then another oil change just as a precaution after the manifold gasket and other seals are replaced. Gonna be another 250.00 but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.
Well I booked it in for next week and as I was leaving The jeep wouldn't start. The battery died. The service guy boosted me for free and I left. Just picked up a new battery 128.00.

She's a High Maintenance Girl but I'm hooked on her. No divorce in sight yet......lol

Tell him to kiss your ass and fix only the part that is broke

If you need to do that as a precaution then that needs to be on them because you wouldn't need that if you didn't get that one problem

As for the battery that's your fault , again should have told him to kiss your ass for a 128 stock battery

It's an 07. I bought it used and also bought an after market warranty with it. I was a bit naive about the after market warranties. Well I founf out these places love to take your money but are really difficult to get to pay out. They will only pay for some of the repairs but not for "maintainance" they deem to be done for the repairs. Hell they even refused to pay for additional seals that are needed. The dealer is replacing these for free.
As for the battery, I bought that at Walmart and I went a bit higher cranking amps means I'm in Alberta and -30 C is not that uncommon in our winters. I have to have a reliable vehicle as it's not fun to try to fix things on the side of the roads in that kind of temperatures.

High

That seems high for a cooling system flush and an oil change, both are easy to do.
