Went to the scales to get a weight before my move and she is a tubby bitch :laughing:
3000 front
3020 rear

At least its got a good weight bias :laughing:

Yep....you gots a fat bitch!

So did I...so I put the porker on a diet. Got mine well below 5000 lbs now.

Thats what I am trying to figure out how :laughing: I am seriously wondering if the scale is off.

RK 5.5 long arm
44 front and rear, front is trussed/Ced
RR full skids and fenders
Rugged Ridge front bumper but only the center
TJ rear bumper replacing the rear x-member
spare tire inside
5 HMMWV beadlocks and 37's, (figure 130lb ea so 650 in tires/wheels)
winch
Top is a Trektop
no carpet, most all shit plastic is gone.

oh well, a hemi swap would fix that :laughing:

Did you weigh it with all fours on the scale at some point? I believe that if you weigh the front and rear seperate then each end weighs heavier as the scale is holding part of the weight from the opposite end. I thinkthat you will get a lighter total weight if you weight the whole vehicle at once.

Weight

The proper way to weigh a vehicle if you have portable scales is to have the scales at the four corners. Roll the Jeep onto the scales. Walk to each side and right down the weight of each side. Then add. You have the weight. Now the down side to weighing at scales where TT/ST weigh, when were they last calibrated. Other than than your weight should be correct.

I rolled on the semi truck scales and placed the split between the steer axle and traction axles right at the B pillar.

A good way to get an accurate weight is by taking your jeep to a local tipping station/ landfill scales. Usually they are publicly run and the guys will run the weight even if you are not dumping.

Most commercial rock quarries that sell to the state will let you drive across and check it. They are mostly certified yearly! Good Luck! I know I left the scale disappointed.....Hemi came next. Now I don't give a shit.....:laughing:

Think that might be a little low Doc. My stock H1 rim/tire combo without internals or rock ring weighs in around 130 on my digital bathroom scale. Completely assembled with full rubber runflat they were over 170lbs each.

What do you expect with all that ultimate stuff you have installed?

You could send me all that stuff and replace the steel skids with aluminum, order up Atomic axles - they are supposed to be lighter than stock, remove your doors (but as I remember you have had concerns regarding a wet ass), get magnesium wheels, and fill the tires with helium.

Most importantly send me your front axle and RR skids. I am here to help you!

That was assembled and I have plastic inserts not rubber. Rolled it on the scale while at AOR's shop

What do you expect with all that ultimate stuff you have installed?

the skids will be getting "lightened" and then skinned in UHMW, rear axle will be a 9" hopefully by winter. Doors are kinda needed here in the winter but the next year in socal they may stay off.

Id love to throw mine up there...Bet i'd have one of the lightest. Besides these Spyder Locks...lol Which I did lighten by 6 lbs a piece...lol

Hmmmm I wonder if removing the center and putting in the pressed center makes that much of a difference. Do you have the 1st or second gen 12 bolts? I have the second where the mounting flange is part of the outer ring... I dunno but I like your wheels & tires a little better than mine:D

Mine are actually 24 bolts downgraded to 12 :laughing:
