Let me first say that I'm pretty much an idiot when it comes to anything to do with wiring....

I've found some small 55 watt lights I want to use as rock lights. I would like to run three pairs and switch them all with the same switch. I plan on wiring them in parallel and will use a relay. What size relay and fuse should I use? Is 12 ga wire big enough? Thanks for the help.

What I would do is use 4 relays.. 1 relay to kick off 3 relays controlling the rock lights..

To figure your amps. Take the watts ( 55 ) and devide by the the volts ( 12 ) = 4.58 Amps. If I were you, I wold put two lights per relay. That would be just under 10 amps. Use #16 wire to each lamp. And use one switch to pull in all three relays. Use a 3 amp fuse to protect your switch circuit.

Thanks guys. I think I am going to use 3 relays and one switch - just to be on the safe side.
