Ran my recent Motech beta kit swapped 2011 on a local Dyno to make sure it's running smooth and to take away AFM.
My tech is a major gear head, dropping an LS into his wife's infinity, so he was up for the challenge. After a quick call with Mitch, he had things sorted out and we were on our way of some HP gains! I'm on 87 pump gas, and we did not adjust timing. These are 4 th gear pulls.

2014 stock 5.3 with 34's pulled 245 rear wheel hp. (No tune).
With some adjustments to get air/fuel at 13, we got 270 whp.

Yes, it's rated from Chevy at 355 hp, but that's at the flywheel.

So you may ask was it worth the swap, my pentastar makes 280hp.

Yes, that again is flywheel hp, and according to RIPP and their dyno pulls (check out YouTube), the Jeep 3.8 has around 140 whp, and the 3.6 comes in at 180 whp.

That is a clalculate 35% loss due to drive train. Most cars experience 20% loss, but our Jeeps aren't no Corvettes, and we run big fat tires. Which I am burning in first, second and third.

A third party did dyno a brand new LT truck with a 5.3, and they got between 302 and 320 whp, depending on type of gas. Shows GM has the LT is tuned for the Chevy truck.

But not a day goes by that someone gives me a thumbs up, stops me to ask what's under the hood, and my kids fight to drive the Jeep. 270 whp ain't that bad.

The dyno gives you a number... That number doesn't matter much compared to the fun you and your kids are having with the Jeep. Sounds like a successful swap!

If Mitch still has the Chevy computer, I would suggest to have him tune out the 4 cyl. Mode. That was aggravating, as it would have to come out of it, then down shift to accelerate. Now, if I wanna go, I just punch it and it flies!

That's good to know. I had heard it was pretty seamless. That would be really frustrating if it works like that.

I already have the computer back, but I guess if I have the same issue I'll probably send it to him to fix.

Results sound in line with what we have seen as far as drive train loss. 25-35% depending on: ratio, tire size, manufacturer (Nitto's are real heavy), wheel (bead locks are heavier) and axles.
