Hi guys, first post so I'm hoping this is the appropriate place to post this question. My grandpa has a military trailer on the farm (I would post pictures but since I don't have the required 2 post pre-requisite I can't post a link but if you google M105A2 trailer that's the one). I was looking into a trailer to use to haul my camping gear, but i'm thinking that it is going to be way too heavy. Doing some research it says that the trailer is 2,760 pounds. I have stock axles, 5.13 gears, 35" tires. Is this going to cause damage to my jeep if I haul it? If this isn't the right place to post this question I apologize please tell me where I should post.

Damn I was hoping that I wouldn't have to buy a new trailer but i'd rather do that and not have anything break. Mines a 4 door but still not sure what the towing cap. is but I'm sure it is not rated for this trailer if the 2 door is only rated for 2k.
EDIT: I did some research and the weight that I posted was the "gross vehicle weight rating" aka GVWR, so does that mean that the actual weight is lower?
