I’m still looking for my tires for next summer, stumbled on a deal for some Mickey Thompson’s at a decent price, my question is are they as good as people say they are? Should I wait and look for something else or if at 500$ it’s a good deal not to pass ?

Forgot to mention they are Baja MTZ
I needed 40's and pickin's were slim. I went with MT Baja Boss and the observations I have made thus far is:
MT Quality Control is a joke. Each tire weighed differently. I believe the difference in weight between 5 tires was almost 5lb. I get they are heavy but damn.
Their moulding / vulcanization methods suck. Several lugs did not fully fill with rubber and look rounded / incomplete. Again, pickins were slim so I just ran with it. Not happy about it, obviously.

I love the Nexen Roadian MTX tires! They were amazing on the Rubicon Trail.

Those are supposed to be good tires. I just went to the baha boss mt and wow. Great tire for me. Sometimes I didn’t even need my lockers for a lot of obstacles. Maybe the guy would let you put them on and go for a drive.
