Looks like a good time :smokin::smokin::smokin:
Why is your hard top on?
Because there was a 75% chance of t-storms all day long. I didn't mention it up above but right about the time that the Grand Cherokee (wj?) and I got to the summit we started hearing big thunder booms. We
thought... that they were going away so we worked to get the rest of the group up behind us.
No thunder for a while and then all of a sudden BOOOM!!! :shocked:The skies opened up like Noah needed to go surfing! Twas not pretty. We quickly turned about (while giving the on-trail weather prognosticator a ration of well deserved crap) and made our way back down the steps.
It was raining so hard that at one point as I was going down one of the steps with the JK flexed, enough of a gap was made between the roof and the forward freedom top pannel that it was like someone shot a hose on me from the gap by the door.
Yeah, it would have been nice to have the Safari top on but the weather said no and I'm glad I made the call I did. OTOH, I really hope that the weather is good in two weeks when we go to the EC4WDA TrailFest. I'd be nice to finally get to use the damn thing. LOL
