This is the Long Island thread. Post up whats happening on Long Island
I am jeepless at this time but by late summer I will have sold my Durango & purchased a JKU. I see pics of various bumpers with NY plates. My question is whether there is a restriction on bumper width in NY? Are stubbies ok?
I stubbied my TJ's front bumper with no problems.Knock on wood, no tickets on my stubby Teraflex Epic.
there is no law against it in NY. It must cover the body (grille) not the flares or tires. Thanks, I'll probably go with a stub or at most a mid width then.
If you're talking about the bar, yeah I drove all the way out and it actually hooks around a little bit.Ii was out there last weekend during low tide and it didn't look that bad....were you able to drive to the end.......
Call Evan at 516-384-5349. We all use him. Very skilled, good prices, and a real jeeper.I'm debating on purchasing a Rubicon or maybe the least expensive JKU I can find and modifying it. I am 60 and don't know if I want to tackle all these projects myself. To start with I would like to regear if I went with an X. Is there a trusted shop around that does this work? Some of the other things I could do myself.
Thanks in advance.
