Yea, that's on my mind, too man. I may postpone the job I line up tomorrow (Sat.) and use the day as a 'catch up' day...get the front tires balanced again, get an alignment, do some errands, pay some bills, etc. Sort of depends on the weather, so again...we'll see. My trackbar looked good, so I don't know. One thing at a time for now, lol!

I am jeepless at this time but by late summer I will have sold my Durango & purchased a JKU. I see pics of various bumpers with NY plates. My question is whether there is a restriction on bumper width in NY? Are stubbies ok?

there is no law against it in NY. It must cover the body (grille) not the flares or tires.

also the only law regarding flares in NY relates to commercial vehicles having mud flaps. Nothing about covering tires for passenger cars, also if anyone was curious the law for windshields says they must be attatched and in a mostly upright position. And because people will ask once the weather is nicer...2 mirrors are required in NY, the driver side and the rear view. -from 2011 vehicle and traffic law

Democrat Point today, saw two TJ's and a GC.

This is the backside now, a whole part of the wall was washed out.

As usual, MaBell was a handful. That bitch of a trail always takes rigs down one by one. One roll over onto the roof and one blown engine, on a JK nonetheless. More body damage on my rig, what else is new. More info and pics once I write the report.

Trusted Shop(s) on LI?

I'm debating on purchasing a Rubicon or maybe the least expensive JKU I can find and modifying it. I am 60 and don't know if I want to tackle all these projects myself. To start with I would like to regear if I went with an X. Is there a trusted shop around that does this work? Some of the other things I could do myself.

2011 Beach Fishing PermitsYou must have fishing pole and tackle, shovel, tow chain or rope, a working jack with support board, tire gauge and approved tires, appropriate spare tire and a trash bag. You may not need the aforementioned equipment when applying for some permits, but they will revoke this permit if you are caught on the beach without it!

Only beach I saw closed was Gilgo, Sore Thumb and Democrat Point are open. Don't know about the others, but I never go to the others either.
