hey guys, first post on the site. finally got tired of the bull on jk-forum! whats going on, long time no talk

 

Hey fellers,

So I got a rattling noise when I accelerate. It is intermittent but I can make it start if I almost let the truck stall out. I have no loss in performance, but rattling isn't a fun noise to hear from the engine. Any ideas?

 

Exhaust related. Maybe crossover pipe on tranny skid, or a cat shield vibrating.

top looks great BB, hardtop is 10x quitter and much better in the winter, whens the next trip you guys are going to rausch ??

 

Saturday I :
- put carpets back in (front only)
- installed hard top (which has Soundcoat panels)
- got new tires (A/T's for DD'er use replaced M/T's)

Talk about a change in comfort!

Sup Matt, about time you found your way over here.

Put back the hard doors today for the upcoming cold weather, I ******* hate them! Truck looks stock-ish with full metal doors. Oh well...I'll swap out to the soft doors on trail days.

 

joeyjk it also sounds exhaust related to me. Id check all the hangers make sure the exhaust and heat shields arent moving around. Also while youre down there tighten up any loose bolts if there are any

hey joey, these JKs are also prone to exsaust manifolds that crack , so if its not something loose check that out.... BB hard top looks good bro , anyone avail for an hour to put my hardtop on i need to drop it from the ceiling in my garage , thanks in advance

 

If u still need help doing your hard top by saturday, I get off work at 1245 so I could leave holbrook to give u a hand around 1pm . Let me know

Alright if you need the hand saturday just let me no before hand. On another note, does anyone here no the adress that I can punch into the gps to get up to rausch? Or the easiest way to get there? Also, how much is it after your first trip, isn't it less cuz your not registering ur rig?

matty when was the last time you were there , they have a 12 month membership, so every 12 months you haveto renew, if your within it its just the daily price i wanna say around $30 the yearly is another price on top of that, check your membership card it should have the date, have fun

Whoever is buying the RK tie rod, don't get the Mopar drag link ends, Moog makes a replacement greaseable tie rod end Moog ES3624 for $25 a piece. Royally pissed since I just received my ends today and even if I return them to Quadratec and eat the shipping, both ways, I'll only be saving a few bucks.

Oh well, once these ends take a shit, which won't be for a while, I'll get those ends next.

 

I just opened my box and let me tell you, I'm PISSED that these are NOT Mopar but rather made by CROWN.

Where did you find the MOOG's for $25? I see them for more:

Either way, I think I'm going to tell Quadratec that they must take mine back and pay shipping both ways for false adverstising! They list these as Mopar parts with Mopar p/n's, not Mopar REPLACEMENT parts:

Not an issue, I have all the parts and had no issue finding them. But instead of being $150 cheaper than Poly as it is now, it would've been $190 cheaper.

the currie tie rod with their TRE's doesnt work with 15" inch rims which most of us run anyway. Im just gonna keep using lijeepguy's winch to straighten out my tie rod until I can get the rock krawler

 

Working up in deer park/bayshore off of pine aire dr and a green unlimited with ripp stickers on it drove by...is it anybody on here ?
It looked and sounded real good ..

If it was rescue green, I have seen it before, its usually parked on N. Industry Dr. in Deer Park.
