We lost power about 1am Sunday and it came back on about 10:30pm.

Still no power here day 2. Wantagh is a mess. Finally able to charge my phone at work lol. Could have been a lot worse though. No eta on power coming back. Lipa says worst its been for them in 20 years

Glad to year you guys are alright. Wonder how Chris made out

No damage at my house but a lot of downed trees all around. All of the streets in South Bayport along the bay were totallyflooded out. Spent most of the day on Sunday doing water rescue patrol (fire dept) and trying to keep the crowds out of the surf and surge. A lot of people driving their cars/SUVs through a lot of salt water just to have a look...not sure if that was worth it to end up with a rusted/corroded out vehicle. Down at the marina about 4 boats were sunk or sinking, most of the others left in the water had some sort of damage...even one's out of the water were not safe, a friend of mine lost his to a tree from his neighbors yard.

Kept my Jeep covered in the driveway all weekend away from trees.

I was reading that on LIPA's website last night, my lights came on shortly after. Guess it depends on where you live, if it's hard to get to or not. Hope it's not too long.

We where at trailfest out at Rausch Creek. We stayed at the campground in a yurt. Didn't get any sleep saturday night as I watched the trees sway 30 feet in all directions and listened to tree limbs braking off and whole trees toppling over in the woods. I thought for sure something would fall on my jeep or worse on to the yurt we where trying to sleep in. We got up early sunday and drove back through some of the storm an arrived back on LI just after noon. I have never seen I-80, the GWB and the Cross Bronx so empty. Nothing wrong with my house, still have all my trees and no big limbs broke loose so I'm real happy.

Just got back from PA an hour ago. No power in Stony Brook since yesterday, here at my parents writing this. No damage on the house. We toughed it out tenting with some rain Thursday and Friday night. But, stayed in a cabin Saturday and Sunday night. I was a Trail Fest trail leader and led Friday and Saturday all blacks and reds. I must say, leading through Otter's and Crawl Daddy is effin sweet! Truck ran flawlessly, locker did what it had to do. No damage to report. Crazy amount of rain and wind on the campground. Tons of downed trees. One family had $140,000 worth of damage, totalled their Chevy D-Max dually and their $80k trailer/camper. Bad weekend for them. Pics and videos soon.

Day 4 still no power. Luckily we were able to borrow someone's generator who got their power back yesterday! Lipas website says they are now in the process of restoring and I have seen a couple lipa pickups and van around my area so hopefully soon.

Finally got power back. A few teaser shots of my recent updates. :)

#1. What front end is that... its ******* sexy...

#2. Anthracite is next weekend.... gentle fun :)

It is the Poison Spyder Brawler Lite with DOM Gussets.

What is Anthracite?
A new park in PA. Its not officially open yet, but some of us got the go ahead to go play there with guides of the park next weekend... its going to be alot more of an overland type trip then a RC type of trip... (RC is Rousch Creek another PA wheeling spot that is more rock garden and challenging with obstacles) they are going to cater lunch for us as well for 12bucks a head. Most of us are camping out 30 mins from the trail head friday and sat.

Let me know if you want more info I can get you linked up with the group that is going. Again mostly an overland type of run... looking to get 40 miles in a day with tons of scenic stuff and easy trucking... last time I ran RC (tata's event) we covered something like 8 miles in total. hehe

Finally got my lift installed by Evan today...Only took me 10 months to get to it. I gotta get 35s asap! My wheels look tiny lol.
Chad it looks good! Will look even better with 35's under it LOL! Nice meeting you today, I'll be in Evan's shop here and there over the course of the next few weeks I'm sure, getting ready to re-gear and lock the rear end and then actually get it done :)

Nice JK meanie!

40 miles in 1 day isn't wheeling. When you cover less than a mile in 10 hours:bounce:, you know you're wheeling.
I would call that boring hahahah :thefinger:

I enjoy hacking it out in the rocks as much as your average wheeler... but you can cross 40 miles of desert and I would still consider it wheeling... 40 miles on a beach to me is wheeling... 40 miles though mud, forest... any mix of them all.

As long as its not a dirt road, and you use 4 wheel drive, I would consider it 4 wheeling...

I would call 1 mile in 10 hours crawling...
Again this is why I said it was an overland trip not hard core wheeling (crawling, mudding, river crossings, anything that is not going to be easy)
