I thought it was 13mm, just had to be sure, 1/2" didn't fit on there but i was second guessing cuz it was stripped.

As for you guys and your tradition. It is always easy to make excuses on why you CANT do things. Something like that should be priority if its tradition and, if that is, you genuinely enjoy it. School work can be finished before or even DURING the trip if its over night. But then again, im not sure what goes on at night. But all im saying is that life is too short to make excuses.

As for your rails, cant get a good view, but im looking for some sliders that protect the outer portion of the truck. (door sill area) not sure what thats called exactly. But if they do, then show me some pictures and give me a quote.

well, i dont even have a spare, i dont want to **** my shit up and hope that others are nice enough to help me. I want to be independent so to speak. I dont even have a rear tow hook up.

joey, I have a Hidden Hitch for the JK. $40 and it's yours. I used it for a couple years. Get yourself a Warn d-ring receiver for the hitch and you'll have a tow point, plus a nice hitch to pull shit with.

Hey guys. My name id D.J., I'm a relatively new JK owner. I picked up my 08 unlimited back in June.
I am thinking about going on the black friday run but have some concerns. I havent installed my lift and tires yet so my question is, will my unlimited rubicon on stock suspension and tires be able to hang with the group? I have all I need for a recovery but I'd rather not get stuck and I don't want to spend the day alone on green and blue trails if my jeep cant do the trails that the rest of the group is doing.
What do ya think?

If you have a ball mount just remove the tow ball and put a shackle through the hole. simple and a ton cheaper than a single purpose d-ring hitch. I towed my buddy's Chevy trailblazer like that. Mount it upside down for a little extra clearance.
