Well, I just mounted Evan's Pro 105 bender. I was learning the machine while Evan was working on a club member's TJ. Already made a harness mount that goes from pillar to pillar behind the seats (of course) using 1 1/2" schedule 40. We're tinkering with the specs on the bends to get it accurate.

So...

Anyone wanting custom bumpers, rails, cages, exo-cages, harness bars, etc. he's goint to be up and running in that department as well very very soon.

We installed his new iron worker and lathe last week. Punches, bends, and shears all in one unit. The lathe is self explanatory. Going to be making custom tie rod/draglinks, etc.

ok, I'm in D. Fab me up tubes to weld on to the factory rock rails just like the Mopar bars (like Joe has). My kids need them to get into the JK now with my 35's!

Also, I need to have my rear bumper trimmed now that I bent it and it's vibrating on the rear corner. Does Evan have a plasma cutter?

Meet & Greet Sunday morning

So it looks like we're having a meet and greet at my house sunday morning while Mr. T from Jersey comes to pick up the Soft 8's. Yes, they're going to leave LI finally!

Hmm. We could meet up at my house meet up at the Sweet Hollow Diner on Rt. 110. What do you think?

Of course he has a plasma, how I cut EVERYTHING off. Soo damn easy. I just need a length dimension from cap to cap to fabricate the outrigger. Plus, with the tube notcher, it's going to look mint.

Finally finished up the harness bar, welded it in and made tabs for the harnesses. Plus, had to fab up some quick mounts to bolt to the factory seat bolts going through the floor for the lap belts. I'll take pics tomorrow.

On another note, the 2011 JKs are pretty nice inside. Evan just finished installing a TF BB, Mickey Thompson Classics and 34" MT/R Kevlars. The inside is damn nice. Smooth, quiet, the entire dash and interior is nicer. I don't want it in my JK, but it is nice. Very Grand Cherokee-ish. The tachometer has a green RPM band that cuts off at 2,500 RPM, guess it's for a best MPG powerband on where to shift. 120v inverter built in, power mirrors, yada yada yada. The fron brake lines are different, they are mounted on a bracket that's tied next to the spring mount. The SS bracket on the tie rod is a clamp-type like the clamp around the draglink adjuster tube. Pretty nice truck, I must admit.

ok. So I'll measure the length for the outrigger/step. I'll leave room for a few inches that has to be cut off the rear to clear the 35's. Then I'll come by and he can weld the step tube in place, cut my bumper and install my tie rod all in one shot.

how much for the tubes installed?
