Pops wants a leveling kit for his new (08 I think) JK, I see them from $35 for just the poly spacer to the $300 curry kit. He used to wheel the rubicon some 20 years or more ago and says he won't wheel it but I know better ;)

Seriously it will be a tow rig for behind his big ol motorhome and he just doesn't like the way the front squats.

What's the consensus?

Thanks :beer::grinpimp:

Well the spacer kit willl evel it and keep the stock ride. It's also not alot of dough to shell out if he decides to go for a mor onvolved lift later.

If you are just looking for 3/4" in the front, go down to your local Jeep dealer and order two front spring isolators (Just like the ones already on the Jeep). These stack really nice and the price is right. They should be less than $10 each. I get cost plus 10% pricing and mine were $6.50 each.

Here is what they look like:

Before you buy anything and spend the time installing, measure how much "leveling" he wants. Measure the top of the spring mounts to the ground, then raise the front end of the vehicle until it reaches the point he calls level, then measure the distance from the spring mount to the ground again, and the difference between the two measurements will be close to what you want to raise the front by.

Just remember, a little rake isn't a bad thing, if you set the vehicle perfectly level, when you load up the back it will squat at the back and look too low.
