So I had originally thought of getting the HID light bar, get 4 of those and mount on a bar I was getting. But now, I'm starting to second guess that. I like the look of them and I grown up with lights like those on jeeps. But I'm really digging the LED light bars. It would go straight across the top like the others that I was thinking of.

My biggest thing is.. these sit lower so the trees won't be a problem. Lots of branches that like to scrap across the top. So there's that. But I was wanting some real life experience and knowledge of the 2 different lights and comparisons. I'm doing research on my own but what is research without field work? I'm needing experience guinea pigs to help. :)

Thanks for the info.

LED light bars are a lot of money, especially if your planing on running a 50". That being said, I personally think they are a waste of money unless your bombing through the desert at 60+mph. There are much more cost effective things to spend your money on for building up your jeep IMO. But if money were no issue i would go the led bar all day long.

the rigid led bars have pretty much unbreakable Lexan glass for lenses and I have scratched them but never broke one. ive shattered my fair share of PIAAs or KC lights. the light from a 20'' led is what I would consider equivalent to 4 6-8'' KC lights

I have the 50'' and d2 lights on the bumper and you cant ask for more then that
