The only place you can't take dogs is RMNP (or any National Park). Best check first but I always take our dogs on hikes.

Does anyone know of a good 20-30mile backpacking trip that allows dogs? We're trying to find a few good 2-3 day hikes that traverse through forest, mountains and streams...

Oh well at least you get a new engine!! Worth the price of a deductable...well the bill was about $6k but, luckily my insurance covered it so it was only my deductible. If I would have flipped the bill myself it could have been done way cheaper!
