just wanted to know how bad it is to make turns in 4wheel drive in snow or mud, i know its not good to make turns in 4wd on a surface with traction but how much stress am i putting on the jeep in situations with not a whole lot of traction?

The main thing to avoid is trying to turn sharply with the front lockers engaged.

You are fine. I've done everything but dead u-turns on DRY pavement in 4wd to prove to myself that things will not just implode like some have said on various forums.

Heavy snow will be stressful on things for sure. There was someone on another board that broke an axle in their driveway due to snow. You do have to be conscious about what you're doing.
