As I'm sure with everyone else, I never get tired of looking at bad ass jeeps. It seems like most every one I see usually max's out around 37-38's. I'd like to see a few with 40+ Tires if anyone has any pics. Lately I've had a few ideas bouncing around in my head of a 4drJK on 44-47 as a play-toy/weekend ride. If anyone has any pics please post up.

I personally don't like exo cages on Wranglers, but I like the rest of it :smokin:

More and more people are trying 40's. Here's mine:

what kind of gears do you need to run in order to move that rig?
I've still got 4.88's, they hold overdrive on the highway and aren't too bad. I don't notice a big performance difference from running 37's. 5.38's would be much better though.

did you lower your bumpstops to limit the uptravel?

I will be, I've been busy cutting bumpers and body away to get them to clear okay. I plan on adding another 2" of bump stop at the rear and I'll wait to find out what is needed at the front and then move my brackets for the air bumps.

who's lift setup is that? any detail on the lift?
Here's the specs on it...

Front end

Too bad the axles on that exo'ed JK Sahara were bent.

Unless I can't see it from the shadow this JK's running 40's on non-LA's? Would be more functional, looks cool though.

who says you need Long Arms to be functional???
X2 I can flex to the length of the shocks, which at 32" is longer than most shocks on long arm kits. I'm not convinced that long arms will offer any more flex, in fact without longer shocks they definitely can't, and I don't see getting a much longer shock without more lift. Obviously, there are some advantages to long arms, but to say that a JK without them is a show Jeep is simply incorrect.

This was with 37's, and unless I'm mistaken, it looks like it's flexing okay. Since then I've added about 5" more of droop.
