Don't get a ticket, I hear they are cracking down on people going in the side area. :thefinger:
Sweet let us know
Soooooooooooooooooooo... I did not go into the side areas, though they look unchanged. Good news first, main road is mostly unchanged. However, the section between the first concrete bridge and the second is slippery and loose. Can only imagine what it will be like this year with some rain.

The large section before the Jeep Killer water hole, that most people stop and fish at looks like it has been recently cleaned. I didn't see any trash anywhere. The side hill looks like it came down a bit more in the Summer and probably will throw some new dirt and rocks out on the main road with a good rain. The run off section (aka ROCKS) is still there and calling your name.

Bad news: surveyors EVERYWHERE. And there is an assembly of construction vehicles up by the RC Airport. I don't know what's going on, but I'd say they're planning to grade the road soon or *gasp* pave it. :shaking:

Anyway, road is good. I'd like to get permission to run up the creek bed. All rocks with some mild boulders. Would make for a fun afternoon with just a tad of carnage. :smokin:

Sounds bueno!
I forgot to mention that the side road that is a County Fire Road was today locked tight (with a new HUGE padlock). :bawling:

I think it has been that way since the fire.
Yep. We service the towers up on Santiago and they have some new locks they have put on a couple gates. My forest service key - no bueno. I stopped and asked them at the Corona office and they said they are closing those gates indefinitely to keep people away from the fire areas...
Don't feel bad Jeff, its rained almost every day since we've been on vacation, but only for short periods of time.:bawling:
