So I finally got some new axle shafts for my front D30. Everything installed easy enough but on the drive home I was having trouble turning right. Its acting like its stuck in 4 wheel drive but it turns left fine.
The set up is a D30 with 5.13 and a lock rite locker. When I installed the shafts I pulled the diff cover and everything looked good, no cracks on the ring gear, carrier looked ok as well as the locker itself.

So I'm wondering what yall might think it could be?

Some of my ideas are:
1) The locker is messed up somewhere and I just didnt see it.
2) Something is wrong with my gear box (its been leaking for awhile now) but the fluid levels are good.
3) Possible torque issues on the axle nuts.

Thanks for any input

hmmm How bout jacking the side up...and turning your tire full left and full right.. but have someone else do the turning while you check it out..and see if something is binding or making noise.. Might be how you put it back together.. I can't think of why this would happen..

I am tired though..

Your Jeep is probably a NASCAR fan...look, another left turn.

But seriously, the best way to get an answer is to have someone turn the wheel for you as you look for anything binding. And if you cannot see anything, snap some pics as someone is turning the wheel and post them on here. Someone should be able to spot anything that looks fishy.

Have somebody turn the wheel why you look at steering linkage and make sure stablizer is not bottoming out!

I don't have a steering stabilizer so I know that's not it.

And just to update, I was driving through a field yesterday went through a ditch and couldn't get out the other side. Decided to pull some cable to get out and not snap another 30 shaft by spinning the tires. Once out of the ditch I noticed that my front driver tire was extremely cambered in, looked underneath and the lower knuckle had broken where the lower ball joint attaches. Not sure if this would have had anything to do with the steering issues but will defiantly be needing a new knuckle now.
Think I can get that covered under my warranty?:th_pray:
