I have a 2013 manual tranny and plan to install a 3.5" lift and 37" tires over the Memorial Day weekend.

Do I need to order a programmer if I don't change the gearing and have a manual instead of an automatic? If I do need a programmer, I am thinking bully dog GT. can anyone provide details about what programmer to buy and why?

diablo has been really easy for me on my 12. i had a bullydog on a ram and was not overly impressed but that was for a 04. im sure they have stepped up their game.
I went to the website for diablo and it doesn't look like there is support for the '13. Did something change from '12 to '13?

hmmm. that i may have overlooked. i know the DCX tune is for the 11/12. Let me do some digging with my rep.

You could also just do the AEV ProCal and call it a day for the short term. No HP gains but you can do all the settings changes that you need. Tire size, TPMS and whatnot

If you want to save a little $$, and don't need the full programmer. Why not look into the FlashCal by Superchips? It will allow you to adjust for gearing and tire size so your speedometers and odometer will read correctly. Also, it will adjust things like your TPMS, daytime running lights, and a ton more.

Shoot me a PM and I can hook you up with out exclusive JKO discount code!

Short answer, yes.

You'll need it in order to get the computer to play nice with the lift and tires so it's not trying to overcompensate because the Jeep is now operating outside of the original parameters.

I used the AEV Procal to make the speedometer and odometer accurate after putting 35s on. Works like a charm, and does some other cool stuff too. I think I will try the Daytime Running Lights function next. Also has steering centering, axle ratio adjustments, extended idle for winching, etc.

I have the Superchips Flashcal, didn't want to bother with the switches on the AEV Procal.

AEV Procal fan here. Used it to switch to 37's and from 3.21 to 4.88 gears. Very pleased. Like Flyer said it does other cool stuff too plus its easy to use. I would let you borrow it but it locks in your vehicles VIN.

Dirty Rotten Bastards.
