Installed my Olympic A/T Sliders

I actually had to call Olympic to ask them about the brackets that came with the kit, as the instructions were poor (Olympic admitted that they need to do the instructions over - but they were othewise helpful). None of the pictures of these sliders had door brackets in them, but Olympic confirmed that the door brackets are for added support without the need to drill, but the door brackets are NOT absolutely required.

Long story short, I installed the sliders with the door brackets, and I think that they look good. Will need to wait until I do some wheeling to know how well they hold up, but they are solid sliders.

Here are some pictures:

interesting idea on the door sill mounts

not sure i like that, but if it holds up, then sounds like a nice solution to not drilling for those of us in the salt belt
those brackets are interesting. Maybe i am not looking at them right but I do not see how they offr any additional support and if I would want to be using my door seal as a support.....

EDIT: I think I see now, are they so you don't have to drill the body?? interesting design.....
Yes..don't have to drill the body. If they rub when I put my front doors on I am going to take them off and return them.
Not a fan of the door seal thingies but the other parts look great

Other then the brackets those ook really nice. I have had Olympic products in the pst and they are normally built well.

I am jealouse of your tube doors! :thefinger: Lookin great!
Any full view pics of the rig setup like that?
The support brackets will help to keep it from flexxing when you stand on it to get in or out, but will not keep it from pushing into if you intend to wheel and use them.

thats what I thought too. Where do the bolts go that are at the bottom of the bracket? Are they just in the slider or do they go all the way through the pinch seam? I know you said the brackets are optional so where else do the sliders attach?
Six bolts attach to the pinch seam...another 6 attach to these three brackets.

Read on another site, that the brackets DO rub on doors.
I just put my doors on and NONE of them rub the brackets - so all good there
