I need some help guys. I have an 08 Rubi that stock height. I switched out the rims and tires to 18' XD Rockstars and 33 12.5 Toyo Mt's. The problem it that my jeep feels like its all over the road now. This is my 4th jeep so I understand its not a Lexus but theres gotta be a way I can fix this. Im looking into steering stabilizers and dampeners but have really no idea what I need to buy. Im also looking into picking up either a DiabloSport Trinity or Superchip and again have no idea which one to buy. You guys are a lot smarter than I am so please I would love some help.

When I drove my JK home from the dealer it felt "all over the road" compared to my YJ. But it is just a matter of adjusting driving style.
You may want to verify wheel alignment too.

Ya I know the feeling your talking about and mine was the same way. This feels different though. Im gunna take it back in to the place I had the tires and wheel mounted and have them re-balance and get it re-aligned. If that doesnt do it I guess Ill be going with the stabilizers and dampeners.

the "all over" feeling you have may just be from the wider tires, mine does the same thing when i put my 35's on, the roads here are worn in and the wider tires kinda wander in and out of the low spot on the road. i wouldnt get a dual stabilizer, just upgrade the oem one, and while your at it get a relocation bracket so you dont smash it if you wheel

Im not 100% sure but its the recommended PSI for the tires. You think I should add some or take some of the pressure out?

Ya I think I messed that up. I already bought (but havent installed) the rough country dual steering stabilizers but I thought the Rubi came with a factory 2' lift which is necessary for um. I dont think they're gunna fit.

Check your tire pressure. When I had my rockers mounted and balanced they put 60psi in them and it drove horrible. After drooping my pressure to 28psi it was back to normal.

They did the same thing with my Toyos...over 40psi. I didn't notice until the outer part of the tread wasn't wearing because it wasn't even touching the road. World of difference.

x2 for me, the shop put 45 psi in my tires, road like shit, I took them to right at 31psi and its way better, still tracks with the groves in the road, but a far better ride.

Did you check to see if the stock items are in good shape. Adding bigger tires will enhance any problems that were being masked before by the stock tires.

Check :

Ball joint's for movement
Check Tie rod ends
Check drag link ends (same end as tie rods)
Check control arm bolts
Then check toe in & out

Start with the basics before thining its air in your tires.

And rubicon's don't come with a bigger lift. The spring rate is stronger is all. Basically to accommodate the heavier items that might get installed later.

Fourplyn, everything looking to be in perfact condition. My jeep only has 20,000 vary easy miles on it so Im hoping nothing is too wrong at this point. And as for it being stoke hieght theres only one reasonable sulution...... lift the hell out of it! Ive been doing my best to keep it "fasionalby nice" but I think its getting to the point Im gunna have to start going all out.
