Hi all. I have a 2007 manual.

Over the last few months I've noticed that once in a while my jeep wouldn't start every time when I turned the key.

In every instance trying a few times would get it running again.

It's been getting worse.

Replaced battery, checked all the grounds, all looks OK.

I was messing around and noticed that if I'm driving and I jiggle the key around side to side the red security light turns on for about 10 seconds, then goes away.

That light will randomly come on too.

I'm wondering if there's some loose wire or sensor near my ignition? Has anyone experienced this? Is there anything I can realistically do by popping open the plastic and messing around?

Tried multiple keys as well.

I stuck my finger in the steering column gap on the bottom left side and jiggled some connectors and wires around, then moved my steering column up & down a ton vigorously and that solved it!

I had the same issue and tried sever5things that you have already and even replaced the key fob battery which seemed to work a little better but replacing the key fob itself was my problem but it seems like you have already tried that. Next thing that it may be is the wireless module in the column is bad
