Here is a 9 minute video I made of our adventure. My buddy (accidentally) went off the famed 6 foot rock ledge just before the mansion! I took the low road and he took the high road.
I picked up a 72 acre parcel off Blake Ranch Rd, very close to this trail, and building an off-grid ranch. There are other nice trails all over Hualapai Mtn and other abandoned mines. One easy trail, just after Yellow Pine Ranch, goes all the way to the top where the Lodge has a restaurant and rooms to stay the night. The restaurant dining room has a big picture window where you can watch wild Elk feeding.
Moss Wash - Gold King Mansion Route: 17 miles Duration: 8.5 hours
Directions: From Kingman Arizona
Travel East on I-40 approx 15 miles (to Petro Station)
Exit Blake Ranch Road (Turn right, go South)
The first 2 miles is paved, the rest is graded dirt
Travel approx 11 miles to Moss Wash turnoff

Along Blake Ranch Rd look for "Yellow Pine Ranch", pond on the right, runway on the left. It is Don Laughlins old ranch where he would fly high rollers from his Nevada casino in to wine and dine.
