Currently running the Rubicon express 3.5 superflex kit along with 35's. Im wanting to go up to 37's, but really like the look of my stock color matched fenders and dont want to hack them or get flat fenders. Could I get away with clearing 37's by just adding a body lift without doing anything to my fenders?

You should be able to clear 37's with what you have. I am running a RK 2.5" Max Travel and flat fenders, I clear my 37's easily.

There seems to be some hate going around for body lifts, but yes, a 1"-1.25" BL might be enough height. (depending on body color, people may not even notice that you are running one)

And depending on how much room you have to work with, taller bumpstops 'may' be enough to prevent the new tires from moving up into the flares. Stuff your current tires and see what measurements you come up with.

Good reason to hate on body lifts.

Sawzall is your buddy.
Nope, no good reason at all to hate body lifts if installed properly in conjunction with a suspension lift. In most cases a sawzall is only the buddy of a hack and/or without the funds to do it correctly.

The need of the OP was the reason BLs were invented. The gain of body clearance with minimal raising of CG and more expensive suspension alterations.

Exactly what I was going to post but figured it would just initiate an internet battle with the misinformed.

Couldnt disagree more. The original Jeep designers were not accounting for people like us who want to run 37s or larger tires with minimal lift so a sawzall is usually a neccessary tool to account for that.

I have 37s, 2.5" of lift and cut stock fenders. A swazall was used to "modify "the pinch seam. How is that the sign of a hack?

Friend's don't let Friends run Body Lifts!

My old tow-rig suburban needed a Body Lift to clear 38's and it was never the same after that. It ran hot because the fan shroud didn't fit right and eventually the doors started creaking :

hack 1 (hk)
v. hacked, hack·ing, hacks
v.tr.
1. To cut or chop with repeated and irregular blows: hacked down the saplings.

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/hack

It all depends on how much skill you exhibited while making the modification. Same way as a body guy can use Bondo the way it is supposed to be used versus the good 'ole boy working in his yard can fill in a dent the size of the grand canyon with it.

It does not change that the OP does not want to "cut-up" his stock painted fenders. Whether it is your opinion the way to do it or not it is his jeep and his choice to keep looking the way he wants.

No denying keeping the CG as low as possible is a good thing. However, if the OP wants to keep his painted fenders intact I do not think he will be into "hardcore wheeling" and traversing 45 degree slopes.

I stand by the fact a BL is the proper way to achieve the results he wants in the given constraints. The same way I will say a person that uses a 3" body lift with no suspension lift is a douchebag.

Thanks for the definition. Unfortunately, you used Hack as a noun referring to someone who is attempting to solve a problem in an unskilled or crude manner. Furthermore, you eluded that someone using a sawzall in all likelyhood is doing it wrong because they dont have the funds to do it right. That isnt the case here.

In the OP's constraints, is a body lift a viable solution - sure but to consider cutting up certain things like fenders and the pinch seam a poor and inferior approach is off base.
