There are a couple of shops that I know of that specialize in rebuilding the NSG370, but I don't think the vast majority of transmission rebuilders work on these or would have a rebuilt unit sitting on the shelf.

Oop's..yep, that makes a difference! So having it rebuilt, providing that the parts are available, maybe your only option.

Being a manual also makes it significantly less common than an automatic, even on a Jeep Wrangler. Still, I think Jeep Wranglers have had a substantial proportion of buyers selecting manuals all along.

Sorry about that, that is a bit of game changer, and takes a lot of tranny shops out of the picture. Have you searched Jeep dealers across the country to see if one is available?
